In Depression-era London (1935), a now-grown Jane and Michael Banks (who were kids in the first movie), along with Michael's three children, are visited by the enigmatic Mary Poppins following a personal loss. Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives.

This trailer has been released during the 90th Academy Awards. It does not offers much, Cherry Tree Lane, the old kite in the trash, and that the wind's in the east, a mist coming in, 

like something is brewing and about to begin... Finally coming out from the clouds, she's there, returning to Cherry Tree Lane, with a brief apparition of Emily Blunt at the end.

The cast is quite magical. Will Emily Blunt be practically perfect in every way in Mary Poppins' shoes? She's pretty, adorable and we would all want her as a nanny (and Julie Andrews, the first Mary Poppins, gave her stamp of approval for that)! We already know she can sing, because of her role in Into the woods, so now we are waiting to see how she can keep her knees up!

CHIM CHIM CHER-EE, CHIM CHIM CHER-OO!

Apparently this sequel will be diving a bit more into the original books (written by P.L. Travers), so the characters, especially our super nanny, will be a little meaner yeah. This new screenplay has been written by David McGee, who also wrote the script for Life of Pi. Of course it will be a musical, and Rob Marshall the director, has experience with that; he made Chicago, Nine, and Into the Woods, so yeah, this movie is in real good hands.
