Mother! is a psychological horror movie, which I think is one of my favourite movie category. Plus, written and directed by Darren Aronofksy (Requiem for a dream, Black Swan...) one of my favourite writer/director, what else could I ask for ? (Ok, maybe we could have ask for Jared Leto then.)
The plot :
The story follows a young woman, whose tranquil life with her husband at their country home is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious couple.
The trailer is super mysterious, yet super intense, a bit awkward, and also completely terrifying. Darren Aronofsky said "It’s a cruise missile shooting into a wall, this film. I want audiences to be prepared for that and prepped that it’s a very intense ride."
The kind of movie that will make you hold your breathe the whole time. This movie is very audacious and brave. It might not please to everyone though, but the purpose of the movie is that it bares to be bold; with a director and actors at the top of their art.
