With the brand new trailer of IT, Stephen King is everywhere in our minds these weeks.
And if you are a Stephen King fan like me, you will be happy to hear there is a TV show (launched on Spike TV) based on The Mist book coming this year ! The 1st movie was pretty good, and I can't wait to have a closer look at the TV show.
The trailer looks horrific, and dramatic, mysterious and suspenseful. Everything we need to enjoy a good Stephen King's story.
PLOT :
Based on a story by Stephen King, Spike's The Mist centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world (remind us Under The Dome eh) and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
I remember the movie was about people stuck in a supermarket, while the mist was blocking them, forced to stay indoors. It gave a huge claustrophobic dimension to the movie, and was pretty intense. I guess they couldn't have done the same for a whole TV show, so we will see outside, different places etc, so I hope they will manage to still keep the same spirit and feeling !
