✘ Un Harry Potter-like ? Pas exactement. Des sorts, des créatures magiques oui, mais dans un nouveau pays, avec des nouveaux héros, de nouveaux méchants, et même un moldu qui prend part intégrante à l'histoire.
Cette fois ci, nous ne sommes pas à Poudlard, un univers complètement empli de magie; mais en plein New York, une ville remplie de moldus (non magiciens). Effectivement, dans Les Animaux Fantastiques, nous suivons Norbet Dragonneau, sorti d'école, jeune adulte, qui s'aventure par delà l'Atlantique.
✘ A Harry Potter like ? Not exactly. Spells, magical creatures yes, but in a new country, with new heroes, new vilains, and even a muggle that takes part in the story.
This time, we are not at Hogwarts, a place full of magic; but in the heart of NYC, a city full of muggles (non magicians). Indeed, in The Fantastic Beasts, we follow Newt Scamander, young adult, who ventures across the Atlantic.
SORCIERS, MOLDUS, NOUS SOMMES TOUS PAREILS
✘ Le film soulève un problème toujours très ancré dans notre société : la peur de l'inconnu, la peur de ce qui est différent. la problèmatique est présente dans le film lorsque l'on se rend compte que les sorciers connaissent mal ou peu les créatures magiques et en ont peur, allant jusqu'à les bannir. Et évidemment, les moldus ont peur de ce qu'ils ne connaissent pas également; c'est pour cette raison que les sorciers sont obligés de se cacher. Ils le disent dans le film "Quand les Non-Maj' ont peur, ils attaquent". La réponse par la violence au lieu de comprendre les choses, c'est une problématique ancestrale dans l'Histoire. Les hommes ont d'ailleurs toujours eu peur des sorcières (la chasse aux sorcières, Salem...); mais également dans le monde moderne, l'homme a peur des différentes cultures, religions, orientations sexuelles, moeurs, etc...
✘ Derrière les tours de magie et les créatures en tout genre, se cache un message de tolérance, beaucoup plus ancré que dans les films Harry Potter.
WIZARDS, MUGGLES, WE ARE ALL THE SAME
✘ The movie raises a problem that is still deeply rooted in our society; the fear of the unknown, the fear of what is different. The problem is present in the film when we realize that wizards actually don't really know a lot about magical creatures and are afraid of them, even banishing them. And of course, muggles are afraid of what they also don't know; it is for this reason that wizards have to hide themselves. They say it in the movie "When Non-Maj are afraid, they attack". The answer by violence instead of trying to understand things is an ancestral problem in history. Humans have always been afrais of witches (hunting witches, Salem...); but also in the modern world, man is afraid of different cultures, religions, sexual orientations, and so on...
✘ Behind magic tricks and creatures of all kinds, a tolerance message is hidden; much more anchored than in the Harry Potter movies.

Les aventures de Norbert Dragonneau, l’auteur du livre Les Animaux Fantastiques qu’étudiait Harry Potter.
New York, 1926. Le monde des sorciers est en grand danger. Une force mystérieuse sème le chaos dans les rues de la ville : la communauté des sorciers risque désormais d'être à la merci des Fidèles de Salem, groupuscule fanatique des Non-Maj’ (version américaine du "Moldu") déterminé à les anéantir. Quant au redoutable sorcier Gellert Grindelwald, après avoir fait des ravages en Europe, il a disparu… et demeure introuvable.
Ignorant tout de ce conflit qui couve, Norbert Dragonneau débarque à New York au terme d'un périple à travers le monde : il a répertorié un bestiaire extraordinaire de créatures fantastiques dont certaines sont dissimulées dans les recoins magiques de sa sacoche en cuir – en apparence – banale. Mais quand Jacob Kowalski, Non-Maj’ qui ne se doute de rien, libère accidentellement quelques créatures dans les rues de la ville, la catastrophe est imminente. Il s'agit d'une violation manifeste du Code International du Secret Magique dont se saisit l'ancienne Auror Tina Goldstein pour récupérer son poste d'enquêtrice. Et la situation s'aggrave encore lorsque Percival Graves, énigmatique directeur de la Sécurité du MACUSA (Congrès Magique des États-Unis d'Amérique), se met à soupçonner Norbert… et Tina.
Norbert, Tina et sa sœur Queenie, accompagnés de leur nouvel ami Non-Maj’ Jacob, unissent leurs forces pour retrouver les créatures disséminées dans la nature avant qu'il ne leur arrive malheur. Mais nos quatre héros involontaires, dorénavant considérés comme fugitifs, doivent surmonter des obstacles bien plus importants qu’ils n’ont jamais imaginé. Car ils s'apprêtent à affronter des forces des ténèbres qui risquent bien de déclencher une guerre entre les Non-Maj’ et le monde des sorciers.

Newt arrives in NYC at the end of a journey across the world, ignoring everything about this struggling conflict: he has listed an extraordinary bestiary of fantastic creatures, some of which are hidden in the magic corners of his leather bag - apparently - commonplace. But when Jacob Kowalski, non-maj who suspects nothing, accidentally releases some creatures in the streets of the city, the disaster is imminent. This is a clear violation of the International Code of the Magic Secret which takes the former Auror Tina Goldstein to recover its position of investigator. And the situation gets even worse when Percival Graves, enigmatic director of the Security of the Magic Congress of USA, begins to suspect Newt... and Tina.
Newt, Tina, and her sister Queenie, accompanied by their new non-maj friend Jacob, join forces to find the creatures scattered in the wild before it happens to them misfortune. But our four involuntary heroes, now seens as fugitives, have to overcome much greater obstacles than they ever imagined. For they are preparing to confront forces of darkness which are likely to trigger a war between the non-maj and the wizarding world.
BIENVENUS DANS LE NEW YORK DES ANNEES 20
J.K.Rowling est une écrivaine accomplie qui n'a plus besoin de faire ses preuves quand il s'agit de raconter une histoire, et surtout quand il s'agit de nous parler de son monde, celui des sorciers. Les Animaux Fantastiques est un film aussi détaillé que les Harry Potter, car dans toute bonne histoire, les détails font qu'on y croit.
Les looks des personnages sont très soignés. J'ai particulièrement aimé ceux de Norbert (coloré, un peu roots mais élégant, à la British) et Percival Graves, interprété par Colin Farrell (style distingué, classe, chic, et sombre à la fois). Les longs manteaux rappellent les capes de sorciers.
Le fait que cette histoire se passe dans les années 20 nous fait plus facilement croire à ce monde magique car il n'y a pas de technologie moderne (téléphones portables, voitures etc...) qui aurait un peu cassé... la magie.
WELCOME TO THE NEW YORK OF THE 20'S
J.K.Rowling is an accomplished writer who no longer needs to prove herself when it comes to tell stories, and especially when it comes to talking about her world, the wizarding world. The Fantastic Beasts is a movie as detailed as the Harry Potter ones, because in every good story, the details make you believe in it.
The looks of the characters are very neat. I especially liked those of Newt (colored, a little root but elegant, British style) and Graves, played by Colin Farrell (distinguished style, class, chic, and dark at the same time). The long coats remind the wizard capes.
The fact that this story takes place in the 20's makes us more easily believe in this magical world because there is no modern technology (cellphones, cars etc...) that would have break a little bit... the magic.
UNE NOUVELLE SAGA
✘ A la réalisation de ce film nous retrouvons David Yates, qui avait également réalisé les Harry Potter 4, 5, 6, 7 part 1 et 7 part 2. C'est donc un habitué de l'univers de J.K.Rowling; et on sait déjà qu'il réalisera les suites des Animaux Fantastiques (à priori quatre films).
✘ Dans ce film on regrette un peu le fait qu'il manque des découverte de lieux magiques; à l'image du chemin de traverse dans Harry Potter, mais version New York City, même s'il y a tout de même le bar, le ministère, et la malle de Norbert bien sûr).
Ce premier opus est plutôt léger, et on sent que c'est vraiment une "introduction" à une saga. Norbert a encore beaucoup de mystère a nous dévoiler, l'introduction de Gellert Grindelwald (l'un des sorciers les plus connus de son temps mais aussi l'un des plus dangereux), une brève introduction (par le biais d'une photographie) du personnage de Leta Lestrange (avec qui Norbert semblait très proche, mais qui aurait aussi causé le renvoi de Poudlard de celui-ci) qui fera son entrée dans la saga dès le prochain opus; et également son livre "Les Animaux Fantastiques et où les trouver" à terminer !
✘ Le film est rempli d'humour et de légèreté avec les créatures magiques; ainsi qu'avec Jacob, le Non-Maj qui prend part intégrante de l'histoire et prête main forte aux héros principaux, en découvrant et entrant peu à peu dans le monde des sorciers.
L'intrigue est essentiellement centrée sur les créatures et la relation que Norbert a avec elles. En parallèle seulement est introduit un sorcier malveillant, qui fait beaucoup de dégâts mais qui reste introuvable (et on imagine sans mal qu'il sera le grand méchant des films suivants).

✘ At the lead of direction for this movie, David Yates, who also directed Harry Potter 4, 5, 6, 7 part 1 and 2. It is therefore a regular of the universe of J.K.Rowling; and we alrealdy know that he will direct the sequel of Fantastic Beasts (four movies).
This first opus is rather light, and one feels that it is really an "introduction" to a saga. Norbert still has a lot of mystery to unveil, the introduction of Gellert Grindelwald (one of the most famous wizards of his time but also one of the most dangerous), a brief introduction (through a photograph) Of the character of Leta Lestrange (with whom Norbert seemed very close, but who would also have caused the dismissal of Hogwarts of this one) which will enter the saga from the next opus; And also his book "Fantastic Animals and where to find them" to finish!
✘ The film is filled with humor and lightness with magical creatures; as well as with Jacob, the Non-Maj who takes an integral part of the story and lends a hand to the main heroes, gradually discovering and entering the world of sorcerers.
The plot is primarily centered on creatures and Norbert's relationship with them. In parallel only is introduced a malicious wizard, which does a lot of damage but which remains untraceable (and one imagines without difficulty that it will be the great villain of the following films).
EN SAVOIR PLUS SUR LE MONDE DE HARRY POTTER
En effet, Les Animaux Fantastiques nous apprendra en fait plus sur le monde de Harry Potter et son passé.
Dans le film, on se familiarise avec l'Obscurus, une entité parasitaire magique qui naît de la répression par un sorcier de ses pouvoirs magiques. Un sorcier qui héberge un Obscurus en lui-même est appelé Obscurial. Le personnage de Croyance (Ezra Miller) est l'un d'entre eux. Il est timide, inoffensif et réservé, jusqu'à ce que Graves (Colin Farrell) le trahisse et déclenche son Obscurus.
Tellement de gens ont naturellement fait le lien entre Croyance et Ariana, la petite sœur de Dumbledore, qui est mort mystérieusement très jeune. A savoir, elle a été attaquée par des moldus qui l'ont vu pratiquer la magie à l'âge de 6 ans. Traumatisée, elle s'isole du monde et devient incapable de contrôler sa magie et il lui arrivera d'avoir des crises violentes de fureur; Qui un jour le fera même tuer sa mère par accident. Ariana est morte dans le duel entre Dumbledore et Grindelwald. Mais l'histoire ne dit pas si elle meurt à cause d'un sort. Nous pouvons donc laisser notre imagination et penser qu'en voyant cette scène de conflit elle ne l'a pas soutenue, déclenchant en elle l'Obscurus; Tout comme la croyance; Qui a conduit à sa perte.
Dans le dernier volume de livres, Aberforth Dumbledore nous laisse des indices sur l'état de sa sœur:
"Cette agression l'a détruite, elle n'était plus jamais la même après ça, elle ne voulait plus utiliser la magie mais ne pouvait pas se débarrasser d'elle, elle s'enferma et devint folle.Cette magie a explosé hors d'elle quand elle ne pouvait pas le contrôler, Parfois elle était étrange et dangereuse, mais la plupart du temps elle était douce, effrayée et inoffensive.
"Elle ne pouvait pas supporter les éclairs de lumière et les détonations ... Je pense qu'elle voulait aider, mais elle ne savait pas vraiment quoi faire, et je ne sais pas lequel de nous a fait, qui pourrait être n'importe qui ... Elle était mort. "
Nous savons plus sur la relation entre Dumbledore et Grinderwald dans les films suivants, comme Dumbledore fera son apparition!
EFFETS VISUELS ET ACTEURS FANTASTIQUES
✘ Visuellement, les ambiances sont là; la scène d'introduction est mystérieuse à souhait, sombre et terrifiante. Des sorts, des objets qui volent, des murs qui bougent, des décors à couper le souffle, et des créatures magiques visuellement impressionnantes... on se laisse complètement entraîner par ce monde.
✘ Côté jeu des acteurs, on peut dire qu'Eddie Redmayne a su donner vie à Norbert, qu'il incarne à merveille. Il donne à son personnage un côté attachant, timide (il ne regarde jamais son interlocuteur dans les yeux, ne se met jamais franchement de face, et regarde toujours sur le côté lorsqu'il parle). On sent que le personnage cache encore beaucoup de choses, on ne connait pas encore son passé. Norbert est grand, mince, élancé, maladroit, roux... il entre plutôt bien dans les genres de héros "anti-héros" qu'affectionne J.K.Rowling.
EMBARQUEZ POUR CETTE NOUVELLE AVENTURE !
✘ On peut parler d'un préquel de Harry Potter, et encore même pas vraiment (pas pour le moment en tous cas). Ici nous avons une sorte d'histoire parallèle qui se déroule dans le même monde mais bien des années avant. Nobert Dragonneau, on le connait déjà un peu mais pas vraiment, juste de nom et de renommée; par son livre "Les Animaux Fantastiques et où les trouver", qui sera connu et étudié à Poudlard.
En débarquant à New York, l'histoire se démarque de la saga de J.K.Rowling qui se déroule en Angleterre. Nouveaux lieux, nouveaux personnages, nouvelle histoire. Le film a beau être dans le même univers que Harry Potter, ce n'est pas Harry Potter.
ON BOARD FOR THIS NEW ADVENTURE !

LEARN MORE ABOUT THE WORLD OF HARRY POTTER
Indeed, Fantastic Animals will actually teach us more about the world of Harry Potter and his past.
In the film, one becomes acquainted with the Obscurus, a magical parasitic entity which is born of the repression by a sorcerer of its magical powers. A sorcerer harboring an Obscurus within himself is called an Obscurial. The character of Croyance (Ezra Miller) is one of them. He is shy, inoffensive and reserved, until Graves (Colin Farrell) betrays him and triggers his Obscurus.
So many people naturally made the connection between Croyance and Ariana, the little sister of Dumbledore, who died mysteriously very young. Namely, she was attacked by muggles who saw her practice magic at the age of 6 years. ✘ Visuellement, les ambiances sont là; la scène d'introduction est mystérieuse à souhait, sombre et terrifiante. Des sorts, des objets qui volent, des murs qui bougent, des décors à couper le souffle, et des créatures magiques visuellement impressionnantes... on se laisse complètement entraîner par ce monde.
✘ Côté jeu des acteurs, on peut dire qu'Eddie Redmayne a su donner vie à Norbert, qu'il incarne à merveille. Il donne à son personnage un côté attachant, timide (il ne regarde jamais son interlocuteur dans les yeux, ne se met jamais franchement de face, et regarde toujours sur le côté lorsqu'il parle). On sent que le personnage cache encore beaucoup de choses, on ne connait pas encore son passé. Norbert est grand, mince, élancé, maladroit, roux... il entre plutôt bien dans les genres de héros "anti-héros" qu'affectionne J.K.Rowling.

Ici nous avons une sorte d'histoire parallèle qui se déroule dans le même monde mais bien des années avant. Nobert Dragonneau, on le connait déjà un peu mais pas vraiment, juste de nom et de renommée; par son livre "Les Animaux Fantastiques et où les trouver", qui sera connu et étudié à Poudlard.
En débarquant à New York, l'histoire se démarque de la saga de J.K.Rowling qui se déroule en Angleterre. Nouveaux lieux, nouveaux personnages, nouvelle histoire. Le film a beau être dans le même univers que Harry Potter, ce n'est pas Harry Potter.
